Default Carb Interference with Distributor
I have a 427 HR with the 2x4 C4AE-9425-F intake, and the msd 8595 distributor. Right now there is a 1/2 offset spacer on both carbs, spacing the front carb back, and the rear carb back. This makes for a tight firewall. I can remove the offset back spacer and put a straight 1/2 spacer to match the front, but what I really want is to get rid of the offset spacers all together. I haven't been able to find a lower cap, or a crab cap for the msd. Any suggestions? I have tried a 1" spacer, but from the looks, I would need 2" to clear the distributor with the front bowl, and I don't have nearly the room for that....
