Thank you, I appreciate the advice.

do you know what the rivets are called that have twisted threads that hold the original baffles in those valve covers.

I am thinking I will just modify the baffle for clearance or even just double up on the gasket.

I guess I am getting lazy and was looking for a quick, easy fix.
