Well alright then. Roughly, let's say you use a Edelbrock dual plane intake and a top of the line, custom built Quick-Fuel carb...The intake doesn't need to be ported and performs well out of the box. I'm guessing roughly 1K, give or take $100.
For my setup, the intake was $650...a total ripoff, considering the non-efi version of the Victor is half that. An enterprising person could weld their own injector bungs, but let's assume $650 for the intake. The Victor HAS to be port matched. I had my intake matched and ported by a well-know FE porter. That ran another $200+. The FAST 2.0 system with computer and wiring harness, and sensors, roughly $2K. A throttle body, about $500. Fuel rails and injectors $600. That doesn't include the distributor, which is special for sequential operation. So, absolutely no comparison. Worth it? Probably not, unless you're a gearhead/computer geek with more money than brains. Like me.
