Hey DFW Cobra Club:
We have been invited by the Red River Triumph Club to join them and others in the Subject rally this Saturday Nov. 12th. Here is the info:
2011 TURKEY TROT RALLYE
Saturday, November 12
Driver’s Meeting 9:55 a.m.
First Car Out 10:10 a.m.
The Turkey Trot Rallye will begin at the O’Connor Plaza in the northwest corner of Airport Fwy. (183) and O’Connor. We’ll meet in the parking lot at the traffic light north of the freeway on O’Connor, just past the Bombay Sizzler. The drive will wind around scenic roads and small towns, and a few hours after the start, will end in quaint Roanoke. Here, you will have quite a few choices for lunch spots (if you don’t care for our choice), and we will award prizes for those with the top three scores. The route will be very clearly stated, some of the questions will be challenging, but it’s likely this event will be won or lost on the bonus questions. HINTS: Be sure to bring a navigator that is NOT color blind (so George, you’ll need to plan on being the driver) and brush up on your Thanksgiving trivia and history. If you think you will be hungry again by 1:00 or 1:30…or 2…...or 2:30…….., you’ll want to be sure to make the Club breakfast that morning at 8:00 in Irving. If you have any questions, e-mail Ray or Ruth Josey at
rjosey8385@sbcglobal.net or call Ruth’s cell at (214) 649-2331. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
The weather looks good and we are planning to take the Coupe. Hope to see you there.
