Thanks for the comment. Yes, I have lost count of the number of tires I have put on my Cobra over the last 25 years. Must be at least 12 sets plus the odd replacement when I did something stupid. The worst, by far are the Goodyear TA's. The hard compound is only suitable for heavy trucks.

As a sideline hobby, I sometimes buy Insurance Auto Auction salvage cars and fix them up. Once in a while, I see a wrecked Cobra kit car. They invariably have Goodyear TA's on them. [Correction: Goodrich TA's] It pays to learn from other people's mistakes.
