I don't quite get the point of this "test". So the gentlement from edmunds were surprised that a two stroke engine with no exhaust aftertreatment at all puts out more pollutants than a ULEV-II truck and a Euro 5 passenger car?
That's like being surprised an average Cobra could beat any of the two test vehciles (and the leaf blower) in a race
Todays exhaust gas aftertreatment technologies are a highly sophisticated science, whereas a non-regulated two stroke engine has emissions like back from the stone age.
Btw what has emission pollutants to do with fuel economy or CO2?
