You'll never find a split lock washer on a REAL race car. I subscribe to AN flat washers and Elastic stop nuts. Full height nuts in tension 1/2 height in Shear. Buy them on line or at your local aircraft supplier. Carrol Smith's book is one in a series that is focused on preparing race cars, using the correct fasteners being a huge part.
