Xavier, I had the problem of stacks touching the cowl and needing to be shortened. Gene (Z-linkCobra) on this site cut mine down and he did a beautiful job. If I didn't tell you they had been cut, you would never know.

The critical thing for him to understand is the taper near the flange. With the right taper he can shorten them for you.
