I thought there were 14 prepaid, but Dennis' reply only lists 10 people going.
Robyn and I plan to trailer up very early Saturday morning. I understand that TownPlace has a large parking area for trailers. With my 57 ft. rig and my lack of parking skills, I really hope that there is plenty of wide open parking area awaiting me. There is a possibility that we will come up Friday evening (for the tailgate).
For the last 2 1/2 months, my engine has been pulled, torn down, re-machined, rebuilt and put back in the car. I spent Friday helping to get it going. I still have some minor overheating problems, but it seems to be getting better. I'm hoping that it is air pockets in the block/manifold (460s are notorious for this). When we filled the coolant system (and 'burped' it) for the first start, it quickly heated up (and I thought "OH, NO!"). We then added 1 gallon of coolant mixture when it cooled down, and it seemed to do OK for 15-20 minutes, so I brought it home. On several runs (lasting up to over an hour), I have still had some overheating, but I have added an additional gallon of water (including a quart of EngineKool wetting agent - see last week's thread on overheating). I hope that in the next couple of days, I get the situation resolved. (I also tried replacing the brand new Robert Shaw thermostat).
Anyway, here's hoping that I can do more that just "show" the car in Austin. (I will be able to drive it from the motel to the garage, at any rate).
Got some 'cool' stuff done to the trailer, so I hope that most everyone will 'get a kick' out of it when they see it.
See ya' soon!
