Default Read Ford GT40 and the New Ford GT

Got a brand new copy for $60.hardbound 224 pg. 32 pages/w colour, 100 b & w illus.
In a nutshell, the Mk.IV was designed in Dearborn.
Assembled in U.S.
baked in an oven at Brunswick (minus the body)
Holman & Moody and Kar Kraft put them together.
So they were as American as apple pie. Even had Corvair taillamps.
Some British firms finished unfinished tubs or open race cars with Mk. IV tubs as complete Mk.IVs but those are still not British built cars, just British assembled cars.
That is always a problem assigning which country to attribute a car; for instance some Porsche Boxsters were assembled in Finland. Does that mean they are Finnish cars?
