Hearing this about Carroll ( and verifying that this is true ) is one of the lowest feelings I have felt in automotive fandom. Regardless what you think about some of the business practices of the companies, his ability to gather a group of people and have thing happen that stood the world on its ear as many times in the 20th and 21st century is laudable by any standard. It made me proud to be an American Ford owner.

Sadly Carroll is sick, but he is a fighter and still is the longest living human with a heart transplant, -- just one more record broken.

I feel badly for his friends that knew him better than we do, those who worked and have had the opportunity to enjoy their time in the dragons den. , Bill, Gary, Lance, John and others.

There will always be cobras, the formula and market has stood for 50 years, and the comraderiy , friendship and problem solving it has spawned thn the thousands of Cobra fans , is something to respect , enjoy and pursue.

this news makes me put things in a bit of a priority order- and go see our friends while we still can.

Once around the coast, and lests stop if ice cream,

Steve
