Joe,
I got to thinking about the depth of Shasta Lake and called the Shasta Historical Society. There are four towns covered by it, Kennett, Coram, Baird, and Heroult. All old gold mining towns. The depth of the water when the lake is full at Kennett is just over 400feet. The dam is 602 feet high and 2/3rds of a mile across. They used 6.3 million cubic yards of concrete in it.
