I just pulled my FE because of a timing cover leak and a few other things. One of the things that I missed during assy was the
oil slinger. I'm not sure that it was the problem or only part of it, so I replaced the crank seal as well. What I do know is that this is the first timing cover leak I've had in one of the engines that I built. "Strangly" I had no rear main leak at all which is something that I have had in the past. But this is my first FE and I find that whole system of sealing back there strange and probably put more thought into how to handle it than my small blocks of the past.
