Totally agree with DJ on the oil cooler-I'm waiting on a stat, so I run mine with duct tape over the oil cooler, otherwise it runs too cool.
3M, not sure, seen a couple of BDR's over here in France, and for me there are too many (visible) joints- I'd have a look before you go ahead as i don't know how easy it would be to remove after!
