On the 23rd August 1954 a factory prepared Austin Healey driven by Donald Healey, George Eyston, Carrol Shelby, Mort Goodall and Roy Jackson-Moore set 83 National and International Class D records on the famed Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah. Including an average speed of 132.81 mph for 24hours.The car a standard 100/4 chassis with a modified Weslake cylinder head, 16 inch Dunlop peg drive wheels, Dunlop disc brakes and a small number of aerodynamic mods., small screen, head fairing and an air cooled battery compartment within the right hand passenger bay.
