I used it on my car. Make sure you use the low expansion "Door & Window" type. The conventional stuff will distort panels but the low expansion type won't. As I recall, the low expansion type comes in the blue can, regular in the red/yellow can. Read the label, it is well marked.

Make sure you tape off all the areas around where you are doing it. The stuff will go everywhere and is a really sticky mess till it cures. And there isn't a solvent that will remove the cured mess (don't ask how I know ) and make sure you wear nitrile gloves. When it gets on your hands, the only way to get it off is to let it wear off.

I built some dams using cardboard and duct tape to make a form for it. You really want to control where it expands to. It will ooze out of every opening
