What ball? I thought once you pulled the valve and spring, that was it. As a FYI, I've been tapping both the center oiler and side oiler blocks for a 1/4" NPT pipe plug in the relief
oil valve cavities and doing away with the springs and valves. This means relying solely on the
oil pump to take care of excess
oil pressure for the street engines but removes another potential trouble area out of the oiling system.
