Update:
A quick update:
I have a 'notchy-ness' in the steering that is caused by the strange Z joint that the Jag Front end uses, probably caused by the angle being a bit large for that style of joint. Can't do anything about the angle so maybe I have to change the joint.
Found the cause to my ABS module not working. Dodgy soldering on my part, all fixed now.
A quick adjustment to the trans cable and the engine and trans came out of limp home mode! Whoo hoo!
Next I ran it up to speed on blocks, changed from first to third, then it started spluttering. A long stratch of the head, and try again, and look down to see the "traction control" light flashing... AH HA!
Consult the wiring diagram, found the wire to turn traction off. Try again and it ran with a beautiful bark! BAAAAARRRP!
So solve the steering issues, and its time for another 'test' drive. In a private property of course!
