Default Bone Conduction Headphones?

Has anyone tried this type of headphone? Since they do not go into your ear, they are theoretically legal for us to use when driving. I drive with plugs, but thought it might be nice to add some sound for those long drives.

Aftershokz AS301 Wraparound Sport Mobile Headphones - this is one brand I found on Amazon.

They sit just forward of one's ear (on the cheekbone), so they would look like regular headphones at a quick glance. However, since they don't cover your ears, you can still hear and thus should be legal - unless you are wearing plugs.
