Be less partial to Fram. Search here-there are reams of filter threads and data. Superior filters from K&N, Mobil 1, Motorcraft and Wix.
You could keep it simple and spend a fraction on ramps and pull your filter from below.
With remote you'll add chances for leaks from more fittings and make your spill mess on top of the crossmember instead of below it.
