The paint seems thick compared to another can which has been "reduced".

Does that mean I have to "reduce" this pint can and will it need "activator"?

Will I have to use Dupont reducer and activator or are there generic products?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it will need to be reduced. You can spray it without a hardner but I'm not sure what you will end up with. To do it right you need a reducer and hardner from Dupont. Get on Google and pull up the tech sheet on ChromaBase. It will tell you what you need and in what proportions to mix it.
