Polished KMP cars can be driven too, no exception there either. 
The Kirkham boys SEMA car and Sandwich's polished cars driven 13 hours solid in wacky weather and heat from Provo to Reno for the Cobra Bash, wiped it down, and we put it right in the casino on display. Brett Mills (of this site) drove his even further 14+ hours the prior year from Washington to Reno, including pouring down rain and it was just fine. Painted, scuffed, or polished Kirkham Cobras get driven in all sorts of conditions. Bring it to Monterey, Carmel, and for a nice cruise on CA Highway 1 for sure! This is how we started CH1.
