That's understandable. A lot of the vintage SO blocks that are out there are going to have some issues. Unless you have your heart set on a SO, you might want to consider a nice 428 block. They're much easier to find, and you can build them to make the same power -- more than you'll ever need. And in a Cobra, you can't see the difference unless the car's on a lift.
