Did you find zero wear in the all the u-joints? That's a ton of power you hit them with.
Are you using mag Halibrands and are the drive pin holes getting oblong?

U joints are still tight but they have very little time on them 4 autox runs and about 8 track laps

I am using aluminum Trigos, I am afraid of my 47 year old Mag Halibrand's
I have never really had a problem with pin drive hole elongation because I put my wheels on very tight (big lead hammer and anti seize)

The Hoosier A6's are the best autox and track tire out there, but are not legal for vintage, neither are QT's

Called Roger Friday, he thinks it is a drive train issue and might be right,
I did not tell him the torque numbers though which might have changed his opinion
