I got this Cobra back in April and there was a lot of slack in the linkage. I figured that was the source of the problem. Took all the slack out and the emergency brake still isn't grabbing. There isn't much more I can do with the linkage to tighten it up without it starting to pull on the cables. One thing I noticed was that the distance that the linkage moves from disengaged to engaged it at best 3/8". The opening where the front of the linkage connects to the bottom of the handle is minimal, you can only see the stop nut on the threaded part of the linkage where it connects to the bottom of the handle. Looking at the handle on the interior, I'd have to take out the passenger seat in order take off the boot and see what's under there. From what I can ascertain, I need more travel in the linkage pulling on the cables. Anybody have any input?
