Hey... now that's a great idea. I have the Holden shafts which I would just throw away but if I chop them to length I will be able to check there is no binding throughout the wheel travel. Thank you.

With the heat treatment and shot peening where they easy to weld? Did you turn a spigot and drill a hole to align the two halves?
