Heck, I couldn't drive the car in the early mornings out of respect for my neighbors. It was just too loud. At first it was great but it gets old after a while.
Hi FDJake,

My thoughts exactly and why I ordered the car with the stainless "Quiet" pipes. Most of the non-stainless pipes are fiberglass packed. They sound good new but the fiberglass deteriorates over time and they get louder. My Harley has glass packed pipes and is noticably louder now than when they were new. When I first start it, it sounds awesome but gets old just as you said above. I can pull the baffles and put new fiberglass in them but you can't do that with the sidepipes on a Cobra.

Duane, I'm pretty sure Peter mentioned that the quiet pipes are from Stainless Specialites, but they may have multiple sources so check to be sure. The SS quiet pipes from ERA are $2,350, including the rear brackets.

Regards,

Kevin
