The trick is getting the "holding pins" fastened inside the track at the top of windshield and then making sure the top rails fit all the way down over the top of the windshield. You install the holding pins one at a time in the open slot in the middle of the top of the windshield. You then pull each rail of the top to the sides and it locks in. You then push the rails down flush over the top of the windshield. When done properly, it makes a pretty nice seal. Here is a pic of the holding pins. If you don't deal with them properly, your top will never fit.
