I got a little tired of smelling like gas fumes when I drive the Cobra to the office and tired of burning up too much $5/Gal gas. So, I bought a Wide Band A/F gauge and sensor like this:

The neat thing about the Holley carb is that you can tune the primary for economy and the secondary for power. You can have your cake and eat it whenever you want. My goal was to get close to 14.7 at idle and cruise and down to 12.5 for power. There is a lot of excellent carb tuning information on the Internet. I bought a few squirters, cams and jets and changed one thing at a time until I got very close to my goal. The final step was to replace the old greasy K&N air filter with a new one. I now smell much better and waste a lot less fuel.
