I wish I knew. When the heads were removed, there was no cross hatch visible in any of the cylinders. Should have been visible with 13,000 miles. There were even a couple of tiny gouges in two of the cylinder walls. A couple of lifters were showing abnormal wear. The heads are being rebuilt due to wear. Either this engine was just a POS from the get go or maybe it was accidentally run without oil before I received the car. Who knows?

All I know is the rebuild is costing more than the original cost of the engine. I guess I just expected more. Should have gone with another engine builder. Why Roush feels they have to build an engine with looser tolerances is beyond me. If I had read their exclusion paragraph, I would have passed and bought another engine.

Oh we'll, it's only time and money. But it's my f--kin time and money.
