The only reason for putting a 40 year old 428 crank in your FE is if you already happen to have a 428 crank hanging in your basement. If you don't, then you should get a new stroker crank... along with new rods, bearings, pistons rings, etc. There's a slight debate as to how much stroke is the right amount.
