A couple of things to keep in mind with Webers or 8 stack EFI:

- Intake valves must be smaller than throttle body/carb bores. Otherwise, you'll lose velocity and all low end power.

- The cam can have whatever lift and duration is appropriate for the motor. BUT, a wide LSA will perform better. Think of 114-116*.

- Assuming you want an 8 stack system, I would call Wayne Presley. Dale at Eight Stack seems to have a good reputation, but I don't have any personal knowledge there.

500hp from a 347 should not be too difficult. That's only 1.44hp/cube. A good cam and plenty of compression should get you there fairly easily. Get your dynamic compression to about 8.3-8.4 or so.

ECU and software are another issue entirely. You have to decide what features you need and don't need. Like anything else, try not to pay big money for features you won't use. It is sometimes better to build your own harness, rather than adapt one that's off the shelf.
