Default Some + product reviews.

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post these couple of product reviews for anyone interested. They are a relatively cheap purchase and I figure some of you may be looking for this type of product.

Product 1: Tyre covers.

Wheel/Tyre protective cover, Race cars | eBay

Can be bought through evil bay or purchased direct from the seller.
They are a great product and fairly well made. They fit a 660mm tall x 340mm wide tyre and rim package easily and my pregnant wife found them far easier when loading them up into the trailer!!!

Product 2: Electronic Temp Gauges.

ENGINE WATCHDOG TM2, Engine Overheating Alarm, Gauge & Sensor

These can also be bought online or direct. I recently had an issue where a top radiator hose blew off the theromstat housing (dumb polished housing no grip) and it was only that I saw it blowing out through my bonnet holes that saved my engine.
In laymens terms don't expect when the engine drops its fluid that normal mechanical guages will read the temp rise. With these units they measure the temp direct off the engine block thus always giving an accurate reading. If it exceeds your dialled in temp level an alarm sounds... Most of the sprint car guys run them with relay to a bright idiot light in cab so if it glows then its time to park it.
I know Mario and Scotty cooked an engine at QR this year because of dropped fluid due to a hose clamp letting go so its good insurance.
For under $150 bucks I reckon its good value.
I've set the TM2 up on the Cobra and the TM4 on the F truck.
Hope you find this useful!
