Thanks for the replies. Looks like a Tilton Starter will do the job, but how much grinding (and where) is required to get the OE starter to fit? I already have one from my existing 427 SO, so I'd like to re-use if possible. Also, I like the look of the original starter.....the modern ones just don't look right in a Cobra.
Rick L. I have a Lakewood belhousing and 4 speed toploader gearbox. Can you send me some pics of the modification you had to make to the block plate?
