You are absolutly on point with that! In
1972 the TAs WERE an "upgrade" over the bias-belts Polyglas or Wide Ovals. The TAs are close to "period" and buyers at BJ and other drug fests are
conditioned to expect them. I just wouldn't
DRIVE on them............
In a 15" tire on a Cobra there are limited choices today but I wouldn't put the TA in the running. Yes, Avons are expensive but you get the performance you would expect. The Mickey Thompson SRs and STs are a vastly better tire than the BFG and not much more expensive.
