The carbs get a forward tilt to counteract the acceleration effecting the float levels. I think that will be fine. I made a PCV plate with a mounting tab for throttle link for Webers. I think that would work great with a longer throttle shaft and the carb the conventional way round. I'll dig up some pics if you're interested.
