Default # of Dodge Tstat for FE
As I have searched the forum, Rick Lake states that the Tstat for a BB Dodge 383-440 has a 1/4 inch larger flow opening than the one for a FE. Rick stated he uses a Stant and that 2 mm has to be ground from the diameter of it to fit the manifold. What is a number for this Dodge Tstat and gasket? AutoZone? PepBoys? AdvancedAuto? I need to remove my restrictor plate. Doesn't heat up in cool temps now. Also forum consensus seems to agree on 180 degrees as best for FE. Appreciate the help.
