The reason the car had a "cheapo Motorola radio" was because the tape deck installed by the original owner, Richard Raskind, had a wiring problem while the car was being driven from Iowa back to New York, causing an electrical fire. The car was left in McKeesport, PA for repairs and Raskind decided to sell it rather than go pick it up. And if you want the rest of the story, Google Richard Raskind and see what you come up with.
