I mounted my nozzles---4 of them---on the inside and outside of my foot boxes. Thus, I have two nozzles underhood, one on each side of the engine (fuel pump on one side, carb connects on the other). The idea here is (hopefully) to suppress any underhood fire so that my Cobra does not end up like that Corvette Stingray I saw up in Portola Valley. The other nozzles cover my legs and those of my passenger so we have a little more time to get out and not get burnt. The bottle is mounted in the trunk. I am using Firesafe Halon.
This setup allowed me to run one line from the trunk into the cockpit, then split that line once to each side. The nozzles are mounted on a T top and bottom: inside the foot box and inside the engine compartment.
I also have a fire extinguisher.
Seeing that beautiful Corvette get torched is what led to my decision to install the system.
