With a (FORGED STEEL) roller cam. you should use a steel gear.

Eg: If its a comp cam part # _ _- _ _ _-9 . The -9 indicates forged steel roller cam, which in turn suggest you use steel gear.


Was your cam made from forged steel or cast iron?
