I did call them back and explained the situation. They said the agent has full underwriting authority and they wouldn't even approach the issue. The only option they offered was to put me back in touch with him. I guess I could ask another agent that represents the same company, but rather than deal with that I'll probably shop my policy for both cars to their competitors. Very strange, as I have a sterling driving record and the only claim I've had with them over the past 19 years is for a piece of cracked glass. You'd think they would love to have a customer like me that just keeps cutting premium checks.
