Rick: I will measure the depth difference between the Optima Reds and these batteries. I think there is a 4- 5" difference in depth. I will meaure tonight and let you know.
The batteries I used are 12v Interstate Group 51 gels run in parallel. They have pencil post terminals so you will have to get terminal clamps for a Prius and get 2 extra positive terminal clamps to cut down so they will clamp the negative post. You can source the caps and Rebat decals from Billy Andrews at HRE in Long Island. He will also sell you the battery tray and tie downs. |
