On the current cars ERA bonds a piece of fiberglass angle to the underside of the fender above where the battery normally mounts and uses a ziptie to fasten the vent hose to it, up high and out of the way. You might see if you have one of those under there you can secure the hose to. If not, it would be an easy addition using a little 3M HSF adhesive.
