Yes hopefully insurance will cover $1500 (repair cost). Problem is that the international freight company Kiwi Imports who I engaged to transport the motor from LA to Sydney, in turn engaged a land freight company to transport from Nth Carolina to LA. The damage occurred en route form NC to LA. Kiwi Imports are launching a claim with the land freight company, and are not necessarily acting with enthusiasm towards me. I should say that the lady I have been dealing with here has been very nice, but doesnt seem to have much influence over the LA office. I will continue to push from this end in an attempt to recoup that money, it will at least soften the blow somewhat.

As for excuses, the engine builder claims that if any equipment is in the workshop for 30 days he has a right to sell it and recoup costs. There was a 40 day gap between contact. Because I hadn't received his emails I had no idea he intended to do that.
Now he's acting as if he's the victim, and it's sh**ing me to no end.

As far as naming the builder I won't provide Jesse's name just yet ......what I will say is that if I'm looking for another engine, I definately won't be considering one from Dodgy Brothers Antarctica, Go2slow motors, or Super Fast Fords in Wilkesboro North Carolina.

I'm not familiar with the 30 day rule, so not sure where I stand, I will look into it further from a legal perspective. I need to be mindful that I don't throw good money after bad.
