Thanks everyone for your help. Mark emailed me the details and it was Ultimate Power Steering. The smallest unit is the used on this years British Touring Cars and costs $12,000 however they range from $1300 up. $12,000 allows you to preset via laptop how much steering weight you want for each part of the track when it is used with Motec track mapping.
I have also added a few new pics of our "BITTEN" Cobra for anyone interested.
We've just had the engine out to advance the cam a few degrees and tweak a few house keeping bits like stopping our feet for spontaneously combusting with a bit of carbon fibre on the footwells and heat insulation matting.
Next job is to add a relay to the starter. Those of you who were at the nationals may remember we had an
oil leak issue (now rectified) which leaked onto the clutch and we couldn't get it started on the Sunday. Turns out we were just tooth to tooth on the starter/flywheel cogs. Even with experts all around us, none of us thought to rock the car in gear which would have solved it. Its funny how sometimes you look for the complicated answers to simple problems.
