Greg, are you wanting the switch for security reasons or are you going to take it to the drags? If the battery is located in the trunk, you are required to have a rear, exterior mounted cut off switch as a NHRA safety rule. You'll also have to wire it so that the engine dies, when it is opened. Just killing the battery won't produce that since it will probably keep running on the alternator output. If you are wanting it just for security, you could install it anywhere that is convenient for you. Just be sure to use a minimum of 10ga wire, 2 or 0 would be better, and I'd stay away from the $10 switches. You may someday be in a situation where your starter is pulling big amperage and you don't want a cheapo switch or light wires to cause a problem.
