Tried it once in my younger days with an old Ford pickup. Had a nice sideoiler on the stand and lost my truck's FE motor, so "what the hell?". I didn't have anywhere else to put it at the time! Plus, I lived in Washington State so lots of wet pavement, snow etc. So I had that going for me. Ended up piling the bed of the truck with sandbags and railroad ties so I could just keep it on the road.
After a while, no one wanted to ride with me. Ah, the memories!
