I installed a pair of custom built matched 750cfm QFT's this spring and my engine has never run as clean and performed to this degree........
however I did tweak each carb.
I don't have an oxygen sensor or other fancy diagnostic tools. I tweaked based on; off-idle and constant speed characteristics, engine temperature, and reading spark plugs.
I made these changes:
a. adjusted idle.
b. increased jet size, primary and secondary.
c. changed accelerator pump discharge nozzle size.
d. adjusted secondaries opening rate.
e. verified idle mixture screw settings.
All of what I did may not be necessary for everyone's application, but tweaking can fine tune your engine's drivability. My wife remarked this weekend after driving for more than 100 miles, that her clothing has never smelled less CO contaminated.
