Default Alternate coil pack location

Rossba

Sorry mate my new job has had me head down arse up and not much time in-between however a few shots of my relocated coil pack arrangement.

Essentially a mounting plate was made up and bolted to the chassis tunnel steelwork just behind the manifold. I don't seem to have a shot with the manifold in place so I took a couple of photos low down to give some indication of height against the block.

An early engine bay shot

Packs with leads still attached

Some idea of how the packs are mounted and height

And you can see the pack height is about level where the base of the manifold will sit bolted to the valley.

Marty Govett set this up for me and it has nicely cleaned up the front of my motor as is my plan.

Even the main engine management wiring to that large plug visible on the passenger side of the motor will lead back down into the tunnel to hide its appearance into the engine bay.

Might have to fit up some nice coil lead guides but that's some time off yet.

Anyway I hope this is of some help and gets the thought process going.

Cheers
