Stiffy, I wouldn't have bothered with polished stainless if I planned to coat them - but I agree, the ceramic coating is very effective, I have it on my headers.

Gav, I'd be more concerned about taking the car on a run, what happens when you go inside the pub/cafe for a drink and a toddler notices the shiny pipes - it all happens very quickly as you probably know. Or a "well healed type" leans over to inspect the gauges? Lawsuit.
